PHILIPPINES
Despite the almost daily problems faced in the Philippine work in Mindanao, we have been able by the grace of God to continue the work. The MILF (Muslim Rebel Group) challenged the government to finish them off, or else be finished.

Towns and villages all over the island are on high alert after the massacre of 44 people in Lanao. Most Filipinos blame Gloria Arroyo (President) for this because when Estrada was president, he ordered the total destruction of their camps and refused to give the MILF any status. But when Arroyo became President, she immediately took a soft approach and gave the MILF political status. Since then, the MILF has been very bold.

Our men’s dorm in Panay (picture) is still being built. We decided to go with a two story building approach instead of one as originally planned. This is taking longer and costing more, but it is the most economical approach...In order to reach families around Faith Baptist in Surralah, we began a kindergarten class. Two of our Bible school graduates teach the class.

CHINA
Please pray for our China Bible School work in Harbin. [The Reese’s have begun their 15th year of school operations there.] The school has provided missionary orientation and language training for many missionaries working in China today. The school is free to missionaries.
